Cerith Snails: Essential Sand Bed and Detritus Control

Cerith snails are indispensable members of any reef cleanup crew, specializing in sand bed maintenance and detritus control. These small, elongated snails burrow through substrate and navigate rockwork crevices, consuming algae, detritus, and uneaten food that other cleanup crew members can't reach.

Care Requirements:

• Temperature: 72-78°F
• Salinity: 1.023-1.025
• pH: 8.1-8.4
• Adequate calcium for healthy shell growth
• Sand bed or rubble areas for natural foraging behavior

Stocking Recommendation: 1 Cerith snail per 5-10 gallons for optimal sand bed maintenance and detritus control.
