Tank Size: Minimum 30 gallons
Diet: Omnivore - accepts frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, quality pellets, and naturally feeds on microfauna in the sand
Temperament: Peaceful; may be territorial with other sand-sifting gobies
Reef Compatibility: Excellent - will not harm corals or invertebrates
Substrate: Requires fine sand substrate (2-3 inches deep minimum) for natural sifting behavior

Important Considerations:

Sand Substrate Required: This goby needs a fine sand bed to exhibit its natural sifting behavior and remain healthy. Crushed coral or bare-bottom tanks are not suitable.

Jumping Risk: Like many gobies, White Sleepers may jump if startled. A secure lid or mesh cover is recommended, especially during acclimation.

Tank Mates: Peaceful with most fish but may be territorial with other sand-dwelling gobies. Provide only one sand-sifting goby per tank unless you have a very large system.
