Temperature 75–80°F, salinity 1.024–1.026 SG, pH 8.1–8.4, alkalinity 8–12 dKH, nitrate under 20 ppm. Keep copper and most fish medications out of the tank; they are toxic to invertebrates. Min tank: 20 gal. Needs a mature tank. Cover pump intakes. Drip acclimate over 45–60 minutes; inverts are sensitive to fast salinity changes.

Peaceful. Some species release toxins if stressed or killed by a pump.
