EASY TRACE
EASY TRACE
15 Major & Trace Elements In One Bottle
Concept:
MICROBIAL MARINE EASY TRACE is a solution that contains 15 major and trace elements. These elements have been selected based on their relevance to coral health in scientific literature, as well as the success of large coral aquaculture facilities that have reported using them. EASY TRACE uses only USP- and ACS-grade ingredients, ensuring the highest quality possible. EASY TRACE provides a scientifically backed and convenient way to add rapidly consumed major and trace elements without the risk of overdose and without raising alkalinity, calcium, or magnesium.
Easy Trace provides consistent input of:
- Iron
- Manganese
- Selenium
- Potassium
- Iodine
- Zinc
- Boron
- Bromide
- Sulfur
- Molybdenum
- Nickel
- Vanadium
- Rubidium
- Chromium
- Cobalt
Additionally, Easy Trace delivers all of these trace elements as chelated compounds. Chelation is the process by which an organic compound binds to a trace element. In nature, corals obtain chelated trace elements from the food they eat or from their microbiome.
Unchelated trace elements are prone to reacting chemically as soon as they enter a tank's water column. They can instantly oxidize, precipitate, or become bound by long-chain organics - locking them out of a form any animal in a reef tank can actually use. Many hobbyists dose trace elements and then track their "consumption" using ICP testing. But it's often unclear whether that drop in measured levels reflects real biological uptake or simply a reaction with the tank environment, since the elements were added in an unstable form to begin with.
Chelation sidesteps this "consumption vs. reaction" problem by delivering trace elements directly to the animals that need them, far more efficiently than inorganic salts alone. This means more of what you dose actually reaches your tank's inhabitants - so your animals take up more trace elements than they would from inorganic trace additions alone.
Perfect for nano aquariums or systems designed for ease of use. Shelf stable for over a year. Dosing pump compatible.
Instructions:
Apply 1 mL per 10 gallons (40 liters) daily for regular use. This is a safe dose with no risk of overdose. The dose can be increased beyond 1 mL per 10 gallons (40 liters), with adjustments based on ICP test results.

Feeding & Diet
Feeding & Diet
An opportunistic omnivore, the Seahorse will scavenge detritus, uneaten food, and algae — making it a natural cleanup crew member. Supplement with small meaty foods like mysis shrimp or pellets 2–3x per week if natural food sources are limited.
Care & Water Parameters
Care & Water Parameters
The Seahorse thrives in stable, well-maintained reef conditions. Target parameters: temperature 72–78°F, salinity 1.025–1.026 SG, pH 8.1–8.4, and alkalinity 8–12 dKH. A mature, established tank of at least 20 gallons is recommended.
Reef & Tank Compatibility
Reef & Tank Compatibility
Generally considered reef-safe. The Seahorse coexists well with most corals and peaceful fish. Use caution with very small invertebrates or slow-moving tankmates. Provide ample rockwork and hiding spots to reduce territorial behavior.
Size & Growth
Size & Growth
Seahorses are typically shipped at 0.5–1.5 inches. They are slow-growing and generally remain small, making them well-suited for nano and mid-size reef systems.
